Chris Tucker. The star of stage and screen brings his signature voice to Austin for this standup show, rescheduled from its original Feb. 15 date. Whether you know Tucker from the “Rush Hour” film series or HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” you know he’s gonna bring it. 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Bass Concert Hall, 2350 E. Esther’s Follies. It’s “Shamrocks to Shenanigans!” as the Follies folk skewer the usual suspects. The Prez and other politicos unload on Capitol Hill with “Obamian Rhapsody.” The Boys of Sixth Street take cover as the ladies of Downtown Funk show them how to really woo someone, while social media is skewered in the satirical “Facebook Lament.” All this and magic, too. 8 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Esther’s Follies Theater, 525 E. Second City 55th Anniversary. What’s bringing the road arm of the legendary Chicago comedy star-making company back to Austin? Well, yeah, breakfast tacos — but also audience demand. It seems as if we just can’t get enough of the topical improvisational and sketchy shenanigans of the stars of tomorrow. 7 and 9:30 p.m.,Friday and Saturday. Stateside at the Paramount, 719 Congress Ave. $39-$44. 512-474-1221, austintheatre.org.

Kevin James. James is more than the “King of Queens.” He’s also a mall cop! Just kidding. I mean, yeah, he plays a mall cop in the “Paul Blart” series (there are three words I never thought I’d write), but he’s also performed killer standup since he began his career in 1990s Long Island. 7 p.m. Wednesday. Bass Concert Hall, 2350 E. Campus Drive. $55-$75. 512-471-2787, texasperformingarts.org.
